Ed Ruiz is the Director of Information Technology and Security where he provides vision and leadership in the development and implementation of IT infrastructure, information security and cloud computing environment. Prior to joining Makena, Ed was the Sr. IT Manager at Strava where he was responsible for the technology infrastructure, strategy, and operations. He established an information security program and retooled technology platforms within different departments. Ed was also Principal, IT at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. where he was responsible for next generation network architecture, server infrastructure and information security with a notable achievement of scaling the company’s network from five to fifteen offices globally.

With nearly 15 years of experience in providing leadership and managing IT teams, Ed has a proven track record of developing IT efficiencies and strategies incorporating a wide range of applications and technologies.
