William Miller is a Managing Director of Makena Capital Management. Bill joined Makena in its first year and served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer from 2006 through 2020. Prior to joining Makena, Bill was the President and CEO of Valchemy, a financial services technology company he led from initial funding in 2002 until it was acquired by IBM in 2006. Before Valchemy, Bill was President and COO of iMediation, S.A, a private software company. Bill spent the first third of his career at Intel and its investment arm, Intel Capital, where his team was responsible for the majority of Intel’s North American equity investments and technology licensing. In his twelve years at Intel, Bill was a senior finance executive for two business groups and served as a general manager, a marketing executive, and a manufacturing engineer.

Bill serves on the board of Western Technology Investment, a registered venture debt investment firm. He holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
